Maya Varma is a PhD student in computer science at Stanford University, where her research focuses on the development of artificial intelligence methods for addressing healthcare challenges. She is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and an NDSEG Fellow. Previously, Maya obtained a BS in computer science and a minor in electrical engineering from Stanford, graduating with honors and distinction. She was a recipient of the Goldwater Scholarship, Terman Scholastic Award, and the Kennedy Prize for the best undergraduate thesis in the School of Engineering. Maya was also a first-place winner at the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search and has presented her research at the White House.
