Quad Fellowship Announces Collaboration with the Government of Japan

IIE is thrilled to announce the expansion of the Quad Fellowship in 2025 to include support to exceptional STEM graduate students from Australia, India, the United States, and Southeast Asian countries pursuing STEM graduate programs based in Japan. Through a collaborative partnership with the Government of Japan, this new initiative will sponsor up to 25 Quad Fellows who will join a larger cross-global 2025 cohort with 25 US-based Fellows.

IIE is grateful to the Government of Japan for the opportunity to expand the reach of the Quad Fellowship and further support students studying in the Indo-Pacific region.  The Japan-based cohort will be selected from successful applicants of the Japanese Governmental Scholarship Programs 2025.

Quad Fellows receive financial support and access to a growing, global network with opportunities to engage in unique programming with policy makers, academics, and STEM leaders across the Quad countries. The Quad Fellowship 2025 application for US-based Fellows will open on January 15th, closing on March 3rd, for STEM graduate students pursuing full-time studies in the United States. Applicants interested in applying to be a US-based Fellow will continue to apply via the Quad Fellowship website.
