Benjamin is an engineer focused on developing better biomedical imaging to help human health. He received a BS and MEng from MIT in electrical engineering and is now a PhD student about to start his fourth year at UC Berkeley. His dissertation focuses on developing novel molecular probes for imaging cell function and disease using minimally invasive magnetic field imaging techniques. The hope is that these methods will aid in faster and more accurate diagnoses of early-stage cancer, vascular disease, and neurodegenerative disease. In his free time he enjoys rock climbing, yoga, cooking, reading, long walks by the beach, and playing with his cats.
