Bradley Vigil

United States

Bradley Vigil was initially trained as a pure mathematician; however, he now finds himself traversing the realm of applied mathematics. He is a third year PhD student in mathematics, passionate about the intersection of mathematics and neuroscience. Throughout his studies, he has developed novel topological methods to study the propagations of many natural phenomena with the hope to increase the effectiveness of mathematical models in neurodegenerative diseases. In this pursuit of his PhD, he has had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate and communicate with many scientists from many different fields; this effort was supported by the Charles S. Peirce Fellowship, Hildebrand Fellowship, Texas Presidential Scholarship, and the Texas Merit Scholarship. From these experiences, he hopes to elicit interdisciplinary collaboration while advocating for positive change.
