Natasha Berthold is a visiting student researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a PhD student at The University of Western Australia and the Perron Research Institute, researching the genetics of eating disorders. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with first-class honors. Beginning her PhD on a scholarship in 2022, she has since undertaken a summer fellowship at the University of North Carolina’s Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders and worked as a visiting PhD candidate at the University of Otago Christchurch. Outside of her research, she loves dance, dogs, art, and coffee. With firsthand experience of an eating disorder, Natasha is passionate about increasing understanding of psychiatric disorders to help develop personalized therapeutics.
