Nghi "Annie" Nguyen

Nghi (Annie) Nguyen earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Vietnam National University HCMC and her master's in therapeutic sciences from the University of Cambridge, funded by the Chevening Scholarship. She also received full scholarships for several research internships in New Zealand, Japan, and Austria, as well as student exchange programs in South Korea and Indonesia. Her research focuses on biomaterials for medical and tissue engineering applications like hydrogels and nanoparticles for wound healing, bone cement and hemostatic dressings. Now as a Bioengineering PhD candidate at Stanford University, she is developing 3D printed vascularized heart tissue models for drug testing and artificial organ creation.
