Shion is a machine learning engineer interested in the development of neuro-symbolic AI. With his previous training in mechanical and biomedical engineering, he is eager to take an interdisciplinary approach through discovering theoretical advances in AI/ML and applying them to modern computational challenges. Outside of academia, he is involved in the open-source community as a contributor to multiple ML libraries and hopes to encourage others to participate in the development and maintenance of trustworthy AI systems.
