Originally from Thailand, Tawan "Pop" Kiratiwongwan is currently pursuing his PhD in bioengineering at Rice University in Houston, Texas. His research focuses on developing innovative synthetic biology tools to understand and control gene expression in stem cells, aiming for therapeutic applications. By day, he is a synthetic biologist; outside of the lab, he is an aspiring chef who enjoys cooking and baking.
