Asmita Sood is working at the intersection of Computer Science, Biology, and Mathematics to make state-of-the-art healthcare more accessible. Driven by her decade-long struggle with misdiagnosis, she obtained her undergraduate degree in CS and will now be pursuing her Master’s in Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University.
She is currently developing robust solutions for enterprise-level data protection at Dell EMC. During her tenure as a SURGE fellow at IIT Kanpur, her research led to significant advancements in non-invasive diagnostic techniques, effectively reducing MRI analysis times in real-time hospital settings. Beyond academics, Asmita is a national-level debater, mentors underprivileged students in science, and enjoys reading mystery novels.
