Pablo Vidal graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he researched the development of smart polymer scaffolds for effective wound treatments. After gaining experience in the semiconductor industry, he decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Here, he is focused on creating innovative materials for epidermal electronics that monitor physiological data. He is developing a robot capable of conformally depositing these materials directly onto the skin, forming e-tattoos that adapt to diverse anatomies, thereby expanding access to people worldwide. His passion is to democratize healthcare by providing tools that enable real-time diagnosis and treatment, ensuring broader and more immediate access to medical care.
